VB-G RAM G: Reforming Social Protection in Rural India - IAS EXAM
The new job law, formally referred to as Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) is less of a social protection retrenchment and more of an overall reformation of the rural employment system in India. The legislation reinforces statutory livelihood guarantees and ties employment to the production of productive and sustainable assets to the state which fills structural gaps of the old regime.
